FAQ

Most questions have probably been answered in the experience, senior process, senior information or
senior tips pages. Here are a few more. Don't see your question answered? Shoot us an email and ask.
We are happy to help with anything you need to know.

If it is cloudy, should we reschedule?

NO! Clouds are a photographers best friend. It is like a big giant
natural soft box to deliver the best lighting.

What about rain?

While it is possible to shoot in the rain, we don't want to make
our clients do a full session in the rain. It gets cold, raindrops get on the
clothing, hair gets frizzy and falls. We will reschedule whenever possible.
If we are up against a deadline, we can do the session, work with alternate
locations that provide cover, work with umbrella's etc. If we have a full
session scheduled in the fall, and we need the yearbook image, we can meet
up for a quick 10 min session close by and get that yearbook shot, and
reschedule the full session.

My yearbook is due in the fall, but I want to do my photos in the spring.

No problem, book any two hour photo session, and we will do a
complementary yearbook photo to submit to your school for the yearbook
deadline, and then do your full session any time during your senior year.
(Session must happen prior to graduation)

What happens when senior and family don't agree on clothing?

Bring multiple outfits that each person will be happy with. There is
plenty of time to please everyone.

What should I wear?

Be you, but be the best version of you. If you are normally a jeans
and t-shirt with tennis shoes kind of person, wear your good jeans, the clean ones. ;)
Make sure your clothing isn't ripped or stained (unless that is part of the look)

Can we choose to have a longer session on the day of the shoot?

No. Since most sessions are scheduled during the golden hour,
we are often chasing the sun and run out of light. In addition, we have scheduled
a time just for you, and may have other clients or obligations immediately following.

I see you say to bring multiple outfits, but where will I change?

Ayers Photography and design has a portable changing room. In addition
if you have layers, it is easy to change the top layers quickly as well.

Why do you charge the full amount upfront?

We charge the full amount upfront because we would normally require the full amount the day of the shoot, but this
saves the hassle the day of the photos session. It allows us to just have fun and focus on the shoot, not
having to worry about payment. The payment is a retainer of services to the photographer, showing your commitment
to show up. Sadly before we implemented this policy, people would cancel just before the session, or worse, not show up
while we had traveled to the location and were there waiting.
